pippali;
Sanskrit term for “pepper”
Our namesake spice is one of the most common spices in the world, used to provide flavor to many dishes and found today on dinner tables across the world. The spice itself belongs to the Piperaceae family and is indigenous to the Malabar coast of India. Though cultivated in this tropical region, it soon rose to prominence in European cuisine for its flavor and medicinal benefits.
Five centuries ago, black pepper sent explorers like Christopher Columbus in search of Indian flavor. Today, we bring black pepper and our Indian flavors to explorers like you. Join us at Black Pepper Indian Kitchen for a meal and see for yourself what the spice is all about.
How our customers enjoy their food.
Had ordered butter Chicken and chicken 65 (dry version ) from the takeout, and pleasantly surprised By the quality . First it came in nice paper bag. The butter chicken was very well done, the chicken wasn’t dry, and the sauce was well seasoned . Could taste that it probably wasn’t a giant batch that was sitting all day waiting to be scooped , at least didn’t taste like it. The Chicken 65 was absolutely delicious, it’s like a very spiced fried boneless chicken pieces . Despite the hard fried shell, the meat inside was still juicy and tender, probably cause they use thigh meat. They have lot of indoor seating but opted to dine at home this time. One of the better Indian places I tried in recent months, highly recommended
